Would you go to a get together with some friends and their psychic?

Asked: Would you go to a get together with some friends and their psychic?

Ok, so I was invited to the home of a couple that I like and have fun times with (dinners, out to eat, classes) and they are going to have a friend there who is a psychic. At first I think that this will be fun but then I realize they take it seriously and you are expected to pay $50 for fifty minutes with the psychic (50 min minimum).Sort of like a Tupperware party but you get a psychic reading instead.I really like these people but $50 just seems like a lot for a lark, but I don't want to offend them by not going as I do enjoy their company. Here's the question :Should I go and just not worry about the money?Should I make up some excuse not to go?Should I go and decline the psychic reading?Should I tell them the truth and not go?Anyone with good experiences with psychic that you were skeptical about before the experience?Or bad experience?

Just tell them you enjoy their company and outings but will give the psychic a miss, I'm sure they wouldn't mind and appreciate your honesty .
People who read cards are not necessarily psychic ,and one can't judge them all with the same yardstick. To me it was mainly fun, with a bit of insight thrown in,but when I did the readings myself I took it very seriously ,most of my clients were happy and returned, but when I felt my readings were drying up,so to speak ,I stopped altogether. Hopefully all genuine readers would do the same.

I doubt i would, because of the money and if they are offended they are not your friends.Tell them you have a prior commitment.

The experience is like what was on TV (long Island Medium) and not every one at the "party" got a "reading" and several got nothing for the money.

Sounds like and interesting party – but I would advise you have an up front talk with your wonderful friends about the payment before you attend the party – may be an exception might be made for you – or may be they will let you observe for nothing..

I don't think I would waste the money, personally.

Above all stay true to yourself. I doubt you'll not be the only one to decline.

I'd tell them the truth and not go.I'd let them know you are not interested. If these people are really your friends they'll understand. If not, you need new friends.

I've turned down quite a few invitations to Tupperware parties and Mary Kay demonstrations in my day.I can buy storage containers and make-up a heck of a lot cheaper elsewhere.

I like to watch Long Island Medium on TLC, and she is very, very good.If it were someone like Ms. Caputo, I would pay and go.However, for someone without a solid reputation, I would go only if I really wanted to and not just to please my friends.Heck, it's my money.

How do you feel. The truth is best. No I have never employed a psychic other than a fortune cookie. If you want to have just a fun night go and think of the $50.00 as going to a movie and dinner or a ball game where you would spend about as much.If you really need the fifty dollars for food or to pay bills then that would be foolish, but ft you are just wanting to have a little fun then go for it. I keep an open mind, but most these people just good at getting your money. If they word things right then they can look pretty good, but if they tell you stuff you never mentioned to any one then you got to wonder. Most are vague from other people I have spoken to who have seen them.

I think that stuff is BS and not even very good entertainment.I'd politely decline and wish them well.
