Do We think too much a like?

Cary Asked: Do We think too much a like?

I have been with my bf for 4 and a half years. We are like most couples who have been around each other for that long of a time, meaning we see something and look at each other and just know what the other would say, or how we would react if we were allowed to say our unfiltered thoughts out loud, but lately things have been taken a step further… Here is the scenario: we will be walking down the street, both completely silent and with no previous discussion of any specific topic, and I will ask him a question, like, "have you called your mom today?" and he will always respond, "I was just going to tell you about the conversation I had with my mother the other day." usually I think that when you have been with someone and you really understand each other the whole "finish each other others sentences" is sort of understandable, but it has been many many times when things like the example I gave have occurred. The first couple of times we kind of got freaked out, then we just made a joke of it, but now I'm kind of curious. Does anyone know why things like this happen? Is there some common thought pattern only couples vibe off on (because this usually only happens to me with him, although it has happened with me and some other friends and family, though I am not psychic or what ever).
